【Background of the Photograph】
Location is A side street in Kabukicho, Shinjuku.
Taken late at night just after the rain, I focused on the neon lights and people reflected in the puddles on the sidewalk.
Originally, I hadn’t planned to publish this photo. But while browsing through old data, I stumbled upon it and decided to try some retouching.
That’s when I discovered how beautiful the reflection really was—and the image turned into a finished piece.
撮影場所は新宿・歌舞伎町の路地。
雨上がりの深夜、歩道の水たまりに映るネオンと人々を狙って撮影しました。
もともとこの写真を投稿する予定はなかったのですが、過去のデータを見返していたときに偶然この1枚を見つけ、試しにレタッチをしてみたところ、見事なリフレクションが浮かび上がってきたため、作品として昇華させることにしました。
