【Work Introduction】
In the middle of Kabukicho, snow falls quietly over neon signs.
Umbrellas pass under glowing billboards,
while puddles create a mirrored version of the city.
This is Tokyo—noisy, vivid, yet sometimes still.
ネオンの下、静かに雪が降る歌舞伎町の真ん中。
光る看板の下を傘が行き交い、
水たまりにはもう一つの街が映し出される。
喧騒と静けさが同居する、東京の一面です。
【Background of the Photograph】
I took this photo in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, on a snowy night.
You might notice the vivid purple tones—this happened when I applied my usual preset, and the purple came out stronger than expected.
I found it unique and visually striking, so I decided to keep that mood and made some subtle adjustments to finish the piece.
It became one of the most memorable color expressions in my work.
この写真は、雪の夜の新宿・歌舞伎町で撮影しました。
紫の色味が印象的だと思いますが、これはいつも使っているプリセットを適用したところ、予想以上に紫が強く出たためです。
その色合いがとてもユニークで魅力的に感じたので、あえてそのトーンを活かしつつ、微調整を加えて作品として仕上げました。
自分の中でも特に印象に残る色表現になった一枚です。
